COMPARISM OF SOCIAL MEDIA AND RADIO STATIONS ON THE ASSESSMENT OF NEWS INFORMATION

The research is set out to compare social media and radio stations on the level of News information assessment with a particular focus on the Twitter and Splash FM, Ibadan. The study was anchored on the Source Credibility and Uses and Gratification theories. The research used survey research method coupled with 200 copies of questionnaires that were administered to respondents with the University of Ibadan from which 180 copies were correctly filled and analysed using frequency and percentage table method with SPSS version 20.
