ROLE OF MASS MEDIA ON THE USAGE OF CONTRACEPTIVES BY RURAL WOMEN

This study appraising the contribution of broadcasting media in educating rural women towards contraceptives (A case study of women in Iree Community). The results indicated that mass media play important roles in disseminating contraceptive knowledge in our society is a major and credible source of information. It is observed that women who are regularly exposed to mass media messages have more knowledge about contraceptives than their counterparts. Survey research method was adopted with 100 copies of questionnaires were administered.
