The research examined the Impact of Western Television Stations on the Operations of Broadcasting Stations in Nigeria with a particular focus on BBC and OSBC. The study was anchored on Cultivation Theory, Social Norms Theory And Social Learning Theory. Survey research method was used with 100 copies of questionnaires distributed to the respondents in Osun State Polytechnic, Iree while 100 copies were retrieved which were analysed using frequency and percentage method. Findings show that many of the respondents spent 4-10 hours watching television programmes and many of the respondents still prefer OSBC to BBC due to richness in local contents. …READ MORE …
