Big, Small and Medium Enterprises and individuals are now promoting their products and services on online including Facebook because 40% of the people in world are now online and because facebook is the second most visited website after google.com according to Alexa ranking. The research is set out to compare social media and radio stations on the level of of News information assessment with a particular focus on the Twitter and Splash FM, Ibadan. The study was anchored on the Source Credibility and Uses and Gratification theories. The research used survey research method coupled with 200 copies of questionnaires that were administered to respondents with University of Ibadan from which 180 copies were correctly filled and analysed using frequency and percentage table method with SPSS version 20.
