ABSTRACT: The study’s objective was to evaluate federal, state, & private TV objectivity. The study’s foundations were the theory of Source Credibility and Uses and Gratifications Theories. A survey research method was used while questionnaire was administered to elicit responses from respondents who are people living in Osogbo metropolis. The respondents were selected using quota sampling technique. The data were analyzed using frequency and percentage method while the data were presented using tables. According to the research, respondents prefer private media over public media because of its objectivity. It was recommended government media should equally strive for objectivity, fairness, accuracy and other cannon of journalism.
