Abstract: This study investigates the transformative influence of Artificial Intelligence in journalism industry in Nigeria. Employing a quantitative research method, the study adopts a theoretical framework grounded in Technological Determinism Theory. The research aims to understand how Ai technologies influence journalistic practices and workforce dynamics. Data collection utilizes questionnaire with journalists and editors. Equally, descriptive statistics (frequency and percentatage) were employed to analyze the data. The study finds out that while Ai enhances efficiency in content creation and distribution as supported by 60% of the respondents, also, majority of the respondents (80%) was ethical concerns on the over dependency. The study also recommended that culture of continuous learning to adapt to technological changes, integrating Ai responsibly to augment rather than replace human creativity and judgment, and establishing clear ethical guidelines for Ai usage in journalism.
