The study was on the thrust to investigate the influence of music as tool for promoting moral with a specific focus on Iyanu by Tope Alabi on Students of Osun State Polytechnic Iree. Music is said to be a means of entertainment among others depend on the nature and music content. The study was anchored on the Uses and Gratification and Selectivity Theories. Survey research method was adopted in which 150 copies of questionnaires were administered and 130 were retrieved. quota sampling technique was also adopted to select respondents. The data were analysed and interpreted using frequency and percentage method. Findings show that many of the respondents (53%) admitted that they often listen and watch musicals. Majority of the students in Osun state polytechnic do listen and watch music on smartphones (46.2%) radio (23%) and CD/DVD (15.4%). The music Iyanu by Tope Alabi was really popular as many students (68%) listen to it at that time. Also, many respondents (85) have exposed to Tope Alabi song Mori Iyanu at least between 1-3 years ago. It is recommended that more good music be produced by the musicians rather than bad music that corrupt the society.
