The study investigated the influence of communication in organization using Osun State Polytechnic, Iree as a reference. Communication is the basis of human interaction and development since no human being can survive in isolation of others as effective communication fostering unity, understanding and general development. The research was anchored on Communication Models and Communication Processing Theory. The study adopted survey research method with questionnaires were adopted to elicits data from the respondents within Osun State Polytechnic, Iree who were mainly students, teaching and non-teaching staffs that were selected using simple random sampling technique. The data collected were analysed and interpreted using simple frequency and percentage method. Findings of the study is that the level of communication in Osun State Polytechnic Iree was partially effective with many factors have been attributed to this development are poor feedback mechanism, inadequate room to express feelings among publics. Also, the most frequently used communication system or channel are Notice board, social media, letter and SMS. It was recommended that OSPOLY through the public relations unit is expected to have a page or group or room on social media like Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram and Twitter which shall be solely managed by the Public relations department or Unit of the institution or any other authorized body or person. Such group could be titled “Welcome to Osun State Polytechnic Iree”, “OSPOLY Connect”, e.t.c while the approval of member shall base on proper verification. Also, suggestion boxes are expected to be placed in some strategic locations within the campus and Public relations and students affairs should regularly check it.
