The research examines the Influence of Graphical Cartoons in Newspapers Publication with a particular focus on the Punch Newspaper, Lagos. Cartoon remained one of the important elements in newspaper content and it serving various degree of purpose ranging from setting agenda on public issue to the role of comic relief. The study was anchored on Agenda Setting Theory. The research used survey method coupled with questionnaire as a data collection instrument. One hundred (100) respondents were simple randomly sampling out of which 90 copies were correctly filled and returned for analysis. The data collected were analysed and discussed in descriptive statistics (frequency and percentage method). Finding also shows that cartoon is still very relevant and enables cartoonist to set agenda on public matters. The study recommends that cartoonists should set agenda through the use of their cartoons by design appropriate cartoons that are suitable for issues that are current while feedback technique should be developed to measure the opinions of the people that are interested in a particular cartoon.
