Abstract The study analyzing the increasing competition between news bloggers and traditional journalists in Nigeria. The emergence, proliferation and advancement in information and communication technology which has brought about social media, blogging and other digital platforms that have revolutionalised the practice of journalism not only in Nigeria but through the world.
