NIGERIANS PERCEPTION OF MEDIA REPORTAGE OF FEMALE POLITICIANS AND ASPIRANTS

 ABSTRACT This research examines peoples’ perception of media reportage of female politicians and aspirants in Nigerian politics, with special focus on Osun poly community. Emphasis was also laid on the level of attention and coverage given to women in politics particularly the female contestants in Nigeria. The research was built on the assumption of the Agenda Setting Theory and Perception theory. Survey method was adopted for the study with 150 questionnaires administered to the respondents who are mainly members of Iree community.
