ABSTRACT The research is set out to examine the role of community radio in a democratic society with a specific focus on Ilesha community. There is no gain saying in the fact that community radio has long been the fore front when mobilizing, sensitizing, educating and promoting political awareness, consciousness and participation in Nigeria.
