1.1 BACKGROUND TO THE STUDY
The important of food and drugs to a man and animal is very obvious. They need food in order to grow and sustain in life. Fake drugs have been unlessswhing on the civil puplace in Nigeria actually informed the introduction of several.
The agency was established by the federal ministry of health through decrees number “IS of 1993” and it came in to being on 1st January 1994 NAFDAC was established in response to the resolution of the world health assembly in 1998 to combat the threats that fake drugs pr4oductions posed to global health of member country.
The resolution demanded that all member of the country should initiate a programe for the precaution and detection of counterfeit production. NAFDAC health involves the strategic dissemination of information to the public in order to help group of people resist unpleasant health threats and adopts behaviors that promote good heath.
These campaigns are designed to raise public consciousness about health issues by educating people about health issue and risk behavior that might harm them. This campaign is general designed both to increase awareness of health and more people to action in support of the health.
Effectiveness of NAFDAC media camping employs a wide range of massage strategies and communication channel to targets high risk population with information designed to education to education, motivate and empower risk reduction behavior for this reason, media campaign have became increasing by independent on integration, interpersonal group organization on communication to dissemination NAFDAC information effectively to specific high risk population.
NAFDAC campaign uses mass media i.e. (newspaper, Radio, Television e.t.c) to convey their massages to target heterogeneous audience. This channel for communication often has been the ability to reach many people. There has been a phenomenal increase in seizing and destruction exercise of fake drug products carried out by the agency meanwhile NAFDAC has engaged the public pro actively in the war by publishing regularly the list of genuine products and their version so that the public can make a better choice in the market pale.
The agency has power to regulate and control manufacturer, importation, exportation, distribution, advertisement sales and used of food, drugs medical devices and other product made for human use and consumption. They are to protect public health by promoting. Whole sameness gravity, safety and efficacy of processed drug products through and effectively quality assurance system, public enlistment. In addition to inspectorate and activities as port of the nations effort of emphasizing prevention as illness in the country.
1.2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Upon all the campaign carried out by NAFDAC paper, Television, Radio and Bill Boards e.t.c which are mass media it was noticed that after all the campaign carried out fake drugs can still be found in the country.

ii. To what extant has NAFDAC media campaign curd the sales of fake drugs in Nigeria.

iv. To what extent has NAFDAC through the media being able to enlighten the people on the agency activities.
v. To what extent do the resident of Oshogbo get benefitted from the media campaigns of NAFDAC
1.4 OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
The aim of the study is to banned fake product of drugs because the existence of fake drugs is harmful and dangerous to human life. Therefore the produces of fakes drugs should stop and every individual should check for NAFDAC registration number before they parches of drugs.
1.5 SCOPE OF THE STUDY
Because of the vast rate of fake drugs products Nigeria, the adolescent and mature people that are the adults will really understand the term. But every body will be considered generally as respondent to this research question.
1.6 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The significance of the study is to know the effectiveness of media campaign against fake drug products. It will assist NAFDAC and other development agencies’ to carry out public enlightens programme.
1.7 LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY
Due to finance logistic and literate constraining the study will be restricted to people residents of Oshogbo.

i. Effectiveness: A way of producing the required effect
ii. Media: Organization that provides information for the public, or madam of transmitting information to a large heterogeneous audience.
iii. Campaign: An organized course of action especially to gain publicity.
